In addition to collaborating with local governments to implement period education programs, With Red has partnered with the K–12 Education Administration under Taiwan's Ministry of Education since 2022. We have supported the review and development of menstrual education evaluation indicators, online educational resources, and teaching materials.
On August 1, 2023, the Ministry of Education launched the Friendly Provision of Diversified Period Products policy. In addition to subsidizing access to a variety of period products, this policy also supports school-based education and professional development on human rights, gender equality, menstrual justice.
In 2024, With Red worked together with Legislator Huang Jie to advocate for the inclusion of period education in legislation. As a result, Article 6 of the School Health Act was amended to require schools to offer period education and ensure comprehensive period education through teacher training, teaching materials and resources, and sufficient instructional hours.
The following section outlines period education initiatives implemented in collaboration with different local governments. (Only projects directly conducted in partnership with government agencies are included; initiatives independently organized by With Red or conducted in collaboration with private-sector organizations are not included.)
