“Period Poverty: The Most Basic Need That Often Goes Unseen.”

“Period poverty” refers to the social phenomenon by which people are physically or mentally affected because they cannot afford to buy or access sufficient and suitable period products with dignity due to financial constraints.

This can have negative effects such as vaginal infections, pelvic inflammatory disease, depression, and anxiety.

Period poverty is a global issue that affects people in our own communities every day and urgently needs to be addressed.

"In the hope that no child in this world will ever again miss school and opportunities or suffer from illness because of period poverty, With Red has decided to take action!”

The Red Box - Period Poverty Support Scheme
We collaborate with organizations and social workers supporting children, vulnerable families, and at-risk adolescent girls across Taiwan.
Provide long-term, stable, and personalized menstrual product packages for adolescent girls under 18 affected by period poverty
Combine packages with menstrual education courses, resources, and self-care guides to help build healthy care practices
Offer workshops to empower social workers, helping them find the best ways to communicate with children and turn period education into professional skills
Through long-term, consistent provision of supplies and resources, along with ongoing support for menstrual care, we aim to help more adolescent girls across Taiwan feel secure and comfortable during their periods. This prevents monthly stress and discomfort that can negatively affect their physical and mental health, disrupt their daily lives, education, or work, and even trap them in a cycle of disadvantage.
